Our client is a UK company with global operations in engineering technology design, development and manufacturing. It’s created a new Group Enterprise Applications team to consolidate and modernise the applications used globally. In this vacancy for a Business Analyst (Product Owner) specifically for the Engineering (R&D) & Quality Applications, you’ll be the primary IT Partner for the Engineer(R&D) and Quality functions globally.
Responsibilities
- Review the current multiple applications to understand the current application landscape including versions, licensing & costs.
- Lead requirements gathering workshops, manage requirements, process mapping, solutions design coordination and change adoption across Engineering (R&D) and Quality.
- Translate business needs of the R&D & Quality functions into secure, scalable technology solutions, supporting continuous improvement across product development and quality management processes.
- Support the selection & global implementations of vendors & new applications and/or upgrades.
- Manage Product Roadmaps, licences and stakeholder communications.
- Working with applications such as Q-Pulse, Autodesk, AutoCAD, Solid Works Minitab, Altium Designer, Ansys, Cora, Kofax.
About You
We’d like to hear from you if you have:
- Business Analyst / Product Owner expertise for Engineering (R&D) / Quality functions, ideally in a manufacturing company or perhaps another engineering sector.
- Can demonstrate take ownership, being a self-starter who can problem solve to drive projects forward.
- Supported applications evaluation, vendor engagement & system configuration.
- Implemented new applications successfully in a complex environment.
- Understanding of how functional applications interface with other platforms e.g. data services.
- Experience of 2 or more of the following: Q-Pulse, Autodesk, AutoCAD, Solid Works Minitab, Altium Designer, Ansys, Cora, Kofax.

Salary & Benefits
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 + 10% Bonus + pension + healthcare + more.
Location
Flexible location as candidates can be located in England and travel to offices. Preference for Newcastle Upon Tyne / North East England - One day a week in the office, work from home with some travel to other UK offices then occasionally globally.
