Are you a Data Engineer who would like to work with Microsoft Fabric supporting a company’s digital transformation by building robust and scalable data infrastructure? Our client will move from legacy to Microsoft Fabric with OneLake, Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake, and you can be a key part of this move.

THE OPPORTUNITY

In this role of Data Engineer, you’ll ensure data is efficiently collected, transformed, and made available for analytics and decision-making across the business. To do this role, you’ll:

  1. Liaise with the business to understand data requirements and define data needs.
  2. Identify the data then design and maintain data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric (OneLake etc) and Azure Data Factory that integrate to other applications including ERP. This data will be provided to a BI Analyst to create dashboards etc with Power BI.
  3. Integrate data from various applications such as ERP, IoT devices and external sources
  4. Implement data validation, cleansing and quality assurance protocols
  5. Support existing Jitterbit ETL / legacy applications while Microsoft fabric is implemented
  6. Ensure the correct data enables the business to make better data led decisions
  7. Help transition from legacy ETL to Microsoft Fabric.
  8. Have the opportunity to change the data landscape and shape the future including using AI

ABOUT YOU:

We’d like to hear from you if you have:

  • Data engineering expertise ideally in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Advanced SQL and data modelling skills
  • Ideally Microsoft Fabric expertise OR strong Jitterbit ETL / SQL Server to learn Microsoft Fabric
  • Track record of understanding data requirements with the business, identifying the data, then designing and maintaining data pipelines
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with the business to understand their data needs
  • Team player and collaborator.

ONLY candidates with a UK passport will be considered.

Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 depending on experience + 5% bonus + comprehensive benefits package including pension, healthcare, discount schemes & discounted gym & holidays (25 plus public holidays)

Location: HYBRID with office working 1 or 2 days per week. There are various office locations to work from within England.
