Hi, we’re Genio. We make study software that improves your confidence and ability to learn. We’re a SaaS scale up and one of the fastest growing tech companies in the North. There’s 100+ of us around the UK with our HQ in Leeds. Our software is award-winning and used by 100,000s of students at over 800 universities & colleges worldwide. We’re growing so we can achieve our mission to support 1 million students to become better learners by 2026.
We are looking for an expert multi-tasker with a keen eye for detail to join our Finance function, providing hands-on admin support throughout the sales process, whilst looking for ways to make our processes better. You’ll help the function run as seamlessly as possible, in order to deliver best-in-class service to all Genio customers. If you’re the type of person who can adapt to an ever-changing workload, and enjoys a unique challenge then this role could be perfect for you! This is an initial 6-month FTC, but you will be supported with any career growth and development during that time.
What you’ll be doing:
- Order Processing: You’ll be the heartbeat of our order processing—handling customer purchases with precision, providing clear and timely updates, answering product queries, and building trusted relationships every step of the way.
- Customer Onboarding: You’ll make sure every new customer gets off to a great start. From setting up subscriptions in our CRM to ensuring accounts are activated with the right products, you’ll help create a smooth and welcoming experience. You’ll also keep vendor info up to date and support with quote approvals.
- Sales Ledger: You’ll manage our sales ledger with care—raising and sending invoices, tracking payments in Xero and Chargebee, and making sure billing details are always accurate and up to date.
- Credit Control: You’ll play a key role in our credit control process—chasing payments when needed, sharing clear aged debtor reports, and communicating with customers in a professional, people-first way.
- Legal & Compliance: You’ll work closely with our Legal team to manage supplier paperwork, issue licence agreements, and handle order confirmations. You’ll also carry out regular audits and take care of ad-hoc admin tasks to keep everything running smoothly.
About You:
- 1–2 years of experience in an admin or customer support role.
- A sharp eye for detail and a naturally organised way of working.
- The confidence to manage your own workload and make things happen independently.
- The flexibility to adapt when priorities shift (because they often do!).
- The ability to stay calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks and deadlines at once.
- A continuous improvement mindset—you’re always looking for ways to make things better.
Preferable but not essential:
- Experience with tools like Chargebee, Xero or HubSpot (but it’s not a dealbreaker).
Salary and Benefits:
- £23,000 - £25,000 dependent upon experience.
- 33 days annual leave (Inclusive of bank holidays).
- 3 gifted days off at Christmas.
- Generous individual learning and training allowance.
- Truly flexible hours to suit when you work best.
- Full home working set up and beautiful collaborative office space.
- Nomad working policy with family travel insurance.
- Enhanced 26 weeks maternity and 4 weeks paternity (fully paid).
- Health cash plan (from glasses to massages).
- 6% employer pension contribution.
Location: We have a beautiful office space in Leeds and we love it when we get together to collaborate in person. We typically operate a hybrid way of working, however some of our roles support remote working within the UK, if you live more than 50 miles from the office.
What to expect next: We’ll review your application and provide a response within 1 week. Even if it’s not the news you’d hoped for, we appreciate it’s good to know either way. If we invite you to meet with us for interview, here’s an overview of what the process will look like: Screening interview with someone from our Recruitment team (30 minutes). First stage interview with the hiring manager and another Genio colleague (1 hour), plus a 30 minute task. Final stage interview which includes a 1 hour culture and values interview, plus a 30 minute task. You will be meeting with the hiring manager and one of the Executive Team.
If you’re driven by empowering individuals to reach their full potential through learning, you could be exactly who we’re looking for.
