Genie Shopping is a UK-based, high-growth performance marketing business operating through the affiliate channel and CSS ecosystem. As a certified Google CSS Premium Partner, we work with retail giants like Boots, eBay, Frasers, B&Q, Three, and Lookfantastic, serving over 57 billion ad impressions to users across our network.
We differentiate ourselves through our managed CSS CPA model and our technical scale. We don’t act as a traditional CSS; we act as a performance partner. Alongside our self-managed SaaS offering, our core revenue comes from our CPA model, which means our success is directly aligned with our clients'. We are a driving force in the industry, leading the conversation through education, sponsorship, and active event contribution. This approach has led to huge success, doubling our growth in 2024 and setting new records in 2025.
We are a certified Great Place to Work with a remote-first setup. Our environment is small (~20 people) but ambitious. We value:
- Autonomy: We hire people who want to own their output. If you love solving complex problems and implementing your own ideas, you will thrive here.
- Connection: We prioritise culture over geography. We get together for proper team socials every quarter - think punting, cocktail making, and go-karting, to ensure we stay connected as people, not just colleagues.
The team is remotely based, but has fluidity in meeting in-person for client meetings, industry events, strategy days and team socials. There are requirements to travel to Cambridge around once a month, with London (or other UK locations) once a month on average.
As the UX/UI Designer, you will be responsible for the visual identity and user experience of Genie Shopping’s web properties. While our B2C and B2B platforms serve different audiences and have distinct functional requirements, you will ensure they remain anchored by a consistent, high-quality brand identity.
We are looking for a UI/UX Designer who thinks beyond the canvas. You don’t just care about how a site looks; you care about how it performs. You understand the psychology of a shopper and the mechanics of a high-converting price comparison engine. With a background in designing high converting e-commerce and/or price comparison sites for consumers, the successful candidate will leverage data-driven insights to design user journeys that minimise friction and maximise click-through rates to our retail partners and ultimately improve the commercial performance of the website.
You will join a remote-first, award-winning team focused on high-growth performance marketing. Your primary mission is to improve onsite KPIs - such as conversion and bounce rates - by creating designs that meet the specific expectations of users landing on our pages from external sources.
What you’ll do:
- KPI-Driven Iteration: Improve the visual "feel" of genieshopping.com to drive core website KPIs, including conversion rate and engagement.
- Intent-Based Design: Analyse how users arrive at our B2C product pages via Google Search and design landing page experiences that immediately satisfy their search intent and improve core metrics.
- Brand Stewardship: Maintain a consistent "look and feel" across the B2C comparison site and B2B partner site, even where requirements diverge.
- B2B Conversion Funnels: Design the B2B site (network.genieshopping.com) to effectively funnel retailers and agencies through consideration to inquiring about our services.
- Developer Collaboration: Serve as the primary design stakeholder for the product team, providing clear designs and high-fidelity prototypes to ensure seamless feature delivery.
- User Advocacy: Champion the user journey by understanding the "entry-to-exit" flow for both shoppers and professional partners.
Skills & Experience (Required):
- KPI Driven: Proven experience delivering improvements to e-commerce / price comparison KPIs (e.g. conversion rate).
- Design Systems: Ability to manage brand assets (logos, typography, colour palettes) across different platforms to ensure brand cohesion.
- Data Literacy: Comfort using analytics (e.g., GA4) to understand user behaviour and validate design decisions.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to translate creative vision into technical requirements for engineers.
- Design Tooling: Proficiency in modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD) and project management software like Jira or Shortcut.
- Technical Fluency: Understanding of web constraints (HTML/CSS/JS) to collaborate effectively with the Central Development Team.
Skills & Experience (Desirable):
- Agile Delivery: Experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks using tools like Jira or Shortcut.
- SEO Awareness: Understanding of how UI choices impact SEO principles and page speed.
What We Offer:
- Remote Working Allowance - We pay all Genies £126 per month WFH allowance.
- Flexible Working - We provide flexibility in working options and work in a distributed team model.
