  • Design, maintain, and evolve Terraform modules, standards, and best practices used across the organization.
  • Manage and scale multi-account AWS environments using AWS Account Factory for Terraform (AFT).
  • Design and operate event-driven and serverless architectures to support modern application and platform needs.
  • Build and maintain automation and internal tooling using Python, JavaScript, Bash/Shell, and IaC.
  • Define and champion Git best practices, including branching strategies, pull request workflows, code reviews, and version control standards (GitHub preferred).
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring fast, reliable, secure, and repeatable deployments.
  • Embed code quality, testing, compliance, and security controls into build and deployment workflows.
  • Evaluate, integrate, and operationalize managed AI and generative AI services within cloud platforms, ensuring security, scalability, and compliance.
  • Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve infrastructure automation, reliability, incident response, and developer productivity.
  • Define standards, patterns, and guardrails for the responsible use of AI services across cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Partner with security, legal, DevOps, and application teams to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective adoption of AI capabilities.
  • Lead incident response, conduct root cause analysis, and drive long-term reliability and resilience improvements.
  • Influence cloud architecture, standards, and policies across teams and business functions.
  • Provide technical leadership through mentorship, coaching, and architectural guidance to engineers across the organization.
  • Lead major and complex initiatives, delegating work as appropriate, and reviewing deliverables to ensure alignment with organizational standards.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry best practices, applying them pragmatically to improve platform capabilities.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical infrastructure.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Typically, 8+ years of related experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps roles.
  • Advanced, hands-on expertise with AWS, including compute, networking (VPCs), serverless technologies, and messaging services (e.g., SQS, SNS).
  • Deep experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform; familiarity with AWS CloudFormation.
  • Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, JavaScript, and Bash/Shell.
  • Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions and AWS-native tooling.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, system design, and operational best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems independently and lead initiatives with broad organizational impact.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams and functions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating and supporting large-scale, multi-account AWS environments.
  • Experience defining platform standards used by multiple teams.
  • Familiarity with integrating managed AI or generative AI services in cloud environments.
  • Experience evaluating emerging technologies and applying them pragmatically to production platforms.
