Genesys is seeking a highly motivated Corporate Counsel to join our dynamic Legal team. In this role, you will provide commercial legal support to our Sales and Channel organisations across EMEA, helping drive growth while mitigating risk. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial technology transactions, particularly SaaS agreements, and a collaborative approach to supporting business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements with a focus on:
    • Cloud services and SaaS agreements
    • Channel partner agreements
    • Software license and support agreements
    • Professional services agreements
  • Provide practical and commercial legal advice to internal stakeholders across EMEA, ensuring alignment with company processes and risk management.
  • Collaborate with Data Privacy, Security, and Product Counsel teams on contractual and regulatory matters, including AI product compliance.
  • Support RFP responses from a legal perspective.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting cloud-based software solutions and share insights with the team.
  • Contribute to and maintain Genesys’ templates, playbooks, and guidance documents.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Law degree from an accredited UK or EU law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in England & Wales or an EU jurisdiction, with experience negotiating contracts governed by English law.
  • 2–3 years PQE in TMT law at a reputable firm, or equivalent in-house experience, particularly with SaaS agreements.
  • Strong skills in contract drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Substantive knowledge of intellectual property law as it applies to cloud services.
  • Ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal solutions with sound judgment.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage complex workloads, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with high standards for integrity, execution, and collaboration.
Additional Skills (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of competition law in a technology context.
  • Understanding of regulatory issues relating to AI in cloud services (including the EU AI Act).
  • Familiarity with financial services regulations for cloud outsourcing (DORA, EBA, PRA).
  • Experience negotiating SaaS agreements with financial institutions or public sector clients.
  • Working knowledge of the EU Data Act.
  • Experience negotiating agreements in the Nordics or Middle East.
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate in foreign languages, particularly Italian, French, Spanish, or German.
