We are looking for an experienced Patient Services Officer (Medical Administration) to join our team in our Wembley Oncology clinic. In this patient-facing role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to patient and staff while remaining professional, caring and friendly in an everchanging environment. We currently have Casual and Permanent Part‑Time opportunities available, offering flexible shifts to support our collaborative team as internal movement creates new opportunities.
More Specifically, You Will:
- Complete day‑to‑day clerical and administrative tasks to support clinic operations
- Schedule, update, and confirm patient appointments
- Process billing and receipting accurately at the time of appointment
- Enter data accurately into clinical and administrative systems
- Prepare, scan, file, and manage documentation in line with privacy requirements
- Maintain accurate patient records and administrative files
- Support efficient clinic workflows through organised administration
- Liaise with internal teams regarding schedules, documentation, and processes
- Manage multiple administrative tasks in a busy environment
We’re Looking For Someone Who Has:
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient care and customer service
- Strong organisation and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders
- Proven experience to work successfully both independently and in a team environment
- Knowledge of patient billing systems and related Medicare funding mechanisms would be highly valued
- Exceptional phone manner and ability to handle a high volume of patient inquiries
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Flexible approach to work and able to adapt in a fast‑paced environment
