Whether you’re an experienced Therapy Radiographer ready to step into a senior role, or an established Senior Therapy Radiographer looking for your next challenge, this is a rare opportunity to join GenesisCare UK at a pivotal moment of growth as we open a brand-new, purpose-built radiotherapy centre in Leeds.

From day one, you’ll be training to be part of a pioneering team delivering MR-guided and CT-adaptive radiotherapy, helping to embed cutting-edge technology, workflows, and clinical standards into everyday practice. If you’re motivated by innovation, collaboration, and truly patient-centred care, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role: As one of nine Senior Therapy Radiographers, you will play a pivotal role in delivering safe, high quality radiotherapy services while helping to embed new technology, workflows and standards into routine clinical practice while acting as a clinical role model within the team. You’ll rotate across treatment platforms, support service development, and help shape a high-performing, forward-thinking department.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver safe, high quality radiotherapy across pre-treatment and treatment services ensuring safety, quality, and compassion at every stage of the patient pathway.
  • Support operational excellence and smooth patient flow across all treatment platforms.
  • Actively participate in clinical governance, audits and service improvement initiatives.
  • Support the development of protocols, research projects and clinical trials.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision, training, and mentorship to radiographers in training and students, helping to build a confident and capable workforce.

Training & Development (Minimum requirement): To support advanced practice, all Senior Therapy Radiographers appointed to Leeds will undertake a comprehensive, structured training programme. This is a core contractual component of the role and reflects our commitment to excellence and safety in adaptive radiotherapy.

  • Onboarding period: Typically 6 months to achieve full competency on advanced platforms.
  • Off-site placements: A minimum of 4 months at established GenesisCare centres, gaining hands-on experience with live MR-Linac and CT-adaptive services. Placements are delivered in structured blocks and require weekday residence near the host centre.
  • Travel expectations: Regular national travel and overnight stays during the onboarding period are an essential requirement.
  • Vendor training: Elekta Unity MR-Linac applications training (2 weeks) and Philips MR training (1 week), or Elekta EVO linac and Monaco adaptive workflow training (2 weeks), depending on service allocation.
  • Structured dosimetry & adaptive planning training: Approximately 115 hours of supervised training over around 7 weeks.
  • Governance & safety training: Including MR safety, adaptive workflow governance, IR(ME)R, and GenesisCare systems.
  • Completion of formal competency assessments and clinical sign-off prior to independent practice on adaptive platforms.

This training forms a core contractual part of the role and requires flexibility to travel and stay away from home during the onboarding period.

What You’ll Bring:

  • HCPC registration.
  • DCR or BSc (Hons) in Therapeutic Radiography.
  • Typically 3–5 years post qualification radiotherapy experience.
  • Experience in pre-treatment, on-set imaging, treatment delivery and QA.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-focused approach.
  • Willingness to undertake cannulation training (if not already accredited).
