Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey as a Senior Regional Diagnostic Radiographer at our state-of-the-art cancer care centres across the UK? Join our dedicated team at GenesisCare UK and be part of something truly extraordinary.
The Role
As a Senior Regional Diagnostic Radiographer, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing diagnostic services across our UK network, with a particular focus on Oxford, Windsor and Surrey. You’ll work closely with Lead Radiographers and centre teams to ensure consistently high clinical standards, exceptional patient experiences, and full regulatory compliance. This is a unique and new opportunity to impact service delivery nationally while remaining actively involved in patient care. The ideal candidate will be clinically competent in PET-CT/CT and MRI. However, we are very open to supporting the development of the successful individual and will provide training in an additional modality where required — for example, if you are currently competent in MRI, we will support your training in PET-CT, and vice versa. Due to the regional and national travel requirements of this role, the successful candidate must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work purposes. Please note that this role is Monday-Friday, with typical clinical hours being between 8am-5pm on a full-time, permanent contract of 37.5 hours per week.
What You’ll Do
- Support diagnostic services across the UK network to ensure operational objectives and clinical standards are met.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including Radiographers, Centre Managers, clinicians, and Clinical Trials teams.
- Ensure patients consistently receive the highest levels of care and service in line with GenesisCare protocols.
- Lead by example through active clinical practice across the patient pathway.
- Support Lead Radiographers, the Head of Service and Principal Radiographer in maintaining consistent diagnostic service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with HCPC standards, clinical protocols, radiation protection, quality assurance, and medicines governance.
- Oversee safe and effective use of diagnostic equipment and systems.
- Support audit programmes, incident management, complaints processes, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the growth and development of MRI, cross-sectional and diagnostic imaging services.
- Participate in national audits and research trials, ensuring GCP training is maintained where required.
- Maintain your own CPD and demonstrate flexibility, including out-of-hours support when needed.
What You’ll Have
- A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience with clear professional development.
- Clinical experience in PET-CT, CT and/or MRI.
- DCR (R) or BSc (Hons) in Radiography (or equivalent).
- HCPC registration with evidence of ongoing CPD.
- A strong understanding of governance, radiation protection, and health & safety legislation.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- A compassionate, patient-centred approach with a holistic view of care.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively, solve problems, and make sound clinical judgments.
- Confidence, professionalism, and the ability to act as an ambassador for GenesisCare.
- A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for business use.
