The

Role: As a Senior MRI Radiographer with us, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the MRI service at the centre so that all operational objectives and clinical standards are achieved, and the reputation of Genesis Care for exceptional service and outcomes is maintained at all times.

You will also support the Lead Radiographer in the clinical and non-clinical aspects of the MRI process thus supporting all patients receiving treatment.

What You'll Do

  • Follow all HCPC Standards of Conduct, Performance & Ethics and Standards of Proficiency
  • Ensure full compliance with clinical protocols, policies and procedures at all times
  • Ensure that all patients experience the highest levels of service
  • Ensure that Genesis Care clinical audit, radiation protection and quality assurance requirements are met
  • Lead by example by taking an active clinical role across the patient pathway

What You'll Have

Experience and skills

  • Able to demonstrate at least 3 years post qualification experience with progressive development in that time
  • Experience in all aspects of MRI scanning to a very high level of competence
  • Evidence of empathetic and a holistic approach to patient care
  • Good understanding of complaints process
  • Sound understanding of governance
  • Experience of proactively evolving MRI techniques
  • A wide range of clinical skills
  • Evidence of collaborative working

Qualifications and Knowledge

  • DCR (R) or BSc (Hons) in Radiography (or equivalent)
  • HCPC registration
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • A good level of understanding of the legislation relating to Ionising Radiation/Radiation Protection and Health & Safety
  • Knowledge of current trends and developments in radiography equipment and techniques
  • An awareness of UK Health Environment
  • Good understanding and knowledge of medical terminology and drug/medication names/disease pathways encountered in radiography/CT/MRI/mammography
