As we continue to evolve and invest in our services, we're strengthening our Finance function to provide even greater insight, challenge and commercial support to our operational teams.
This is a homebased, national role, giving you the opportunity to work closely with senior leaders and teams across our network of specialist cancer care centres.
As our Senior Finance Business Partner, you'll be a key strategic and commercial partner to operational and clinical leaders across GenesisCare UK.
Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you'll provide high-quality financial insight and constructive challenge, helping leaders understand what's driving performance and make informed decisions that support sustainable growth, operational efficiency and exceptional patient care.
This isn't simply a reporting role. We’re looking for someone who can get beneath the numbers, understand what is happening operationally and translate complex financial information into clear, practical insight that influences decision-making.
What You'll Do:
- Act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to senior operational and clinical leaders across GenesisCare UK.
- Provide meaningful financial insight, constructive challenge and commercial support to improve business performance.
- Develop a detailed understanding of patient activity, revenue, workforce, capacity, utilisation and operating costs across the areas you support.
- Lead and support budgeting and forecasting, working with operational leaders to develop robust and appropriately challenging financial plans.
- Analyse financial performance against budget, forecast and prior periods, identifying and clearly explaining the operational drivers behind variances.
- Identify emerging financial risks and opportunities and ensure these are appropriately understood and reflected within forecasts.
- Partner with operational and People teams on workforce planning, including establishment, vacancies, recruitment, agency and temporary staffing costs.
- Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and critically assess business cases for investment, service development, workforce and equipment.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and financial performance while maintaining quality and patient care standards.
- Help build financial capability across the business, making financial information accessible and meaningful to non-financial leaders.
- Work collaboratively across FP&A, Financial Control and the wider Finance function to continually improve the quality of financial reporting, analysis and management information.
What You'll Have:
- A recognised professional accounting qualification – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent – with significant post-qualification experience.
- Significant experience in Finance Business Partnering, FP&A, management accounting or another commercially focused finance role.
- A strong track record of partnering with and influencing senior operational and/or executive stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and financial performance analysis.
- Excellent commercial acumen and the ability to connect operational decisions with financial outcomes.
- Strong financial modelling, scenario analysis and business case experience.
- The confidence to constructively challenge senior stakeholders and question assumptions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to turn complex financial information into clear and actionable insight.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills, alongside experience of financial planning, ERP and reporting systems.
- Experience within healthcare or another multi-site, operationally complex or service-led organisation would be advantageous.
As this is a homebased national role, you'll also need to be comfortable travelling across our UK network when required to work alongside the teams and leaders you support.
