Join GenesisCare UK as a Senior Dosimetrist, based at our state-of-the art Maidstone centre, and play a key role in delivering personalised, precision cancer care.

As our Senior Dosimetrist, you will take ownership of the treatment planning pathway on site and oversee patient dosimetry and treatment planning, ensuring an efficient and safe pathway for every patient. Working closely with the Lead Physicist, Centre Leader and clinical teams, you will supervise treatment planning activity, support other dosimetrists and radiographers, and ensure planning timelines are met across both centres.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and manage the treatment planning and patient dosimetry service at the Portsmouth centre, also supporting Southampton when required
  • Plan and check treatment plans, including conformal, IMRT/VMAT and palliative planning, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GenesisCare procedures
  • Coordinate treatment planning schedules and ensure plans are completed to agreed timelines
  • Act as the main planning liaison for oncologists and clinical teams, supporting optimal planning pathways and remote access processes
  • Supervise, guide and support dosimetrists, radiographers and technologists undertaking planning and dosimetry tasks
  • Support pre-treatment activities including CT scanning, immobilisation techniques and IGRT review
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the UK dosimetry and physics network
  • Maintain CPD and support the training and competency development of colleagues in treatment planning and checking

What you’ll bring:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in radiotherapy dosimetry/treatment planning
  • Specialist knowledge of treatment planning techniques and radiation dosimetry, including IMRT/VMAT or SABR
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to radiotherapy planning
  • Confident communicator across multi-disciplinary teams and able to explain complex concepts clearly
  • High level of IT capability and familiarity with TPS and oncology systems (experience of Pinnacle/Mosaiq desirable but not essential)

Qualifications:

  • BSc in Radiotherapy, Clinical Technology, or equivalent technical qualification (HNC MPPM, Diploma, etc.)
  • Eligible for HCPC registration (Radiographer) or on the Clinical Technologists Register
  • MSc or advanced specialist qualification desirable
