The Role:

As a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator with us, you’ll play a pivotal role in coordinating and overseeing clinical trial activities across our research network, with primary responsibility for studies conducted within the Oxford centre. Working closely with the National Research Manager, you will support the delivery of high-quality clinical research while ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), research governance frameworks, and all applicable regulations and protocols. This role will also provide support across other GenesisCare research sites as required, therefore flexibility to travel between centres is essential. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required for this position.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative oncology research, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external sponsors, and help improve processes that enhance research efficiency, quality, and patient recruitment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Coordinate and oversee clinical trial activities across the Oxford centre and support other GenesisCare research centres where required.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all assigned clinical trials, including protocols, investigator brochures, participant information and consent forms, timelines, budgets, and safety reporting requirements.
  • Work closely with the National Research Manager to ensure research governance processes are implemented and maintained effectively.
  • Support feasibility assessments and study start-up activities, including vendor selection and completion of regulatory documentation.
  • Proactively manage trial timelines, resources, budgets, and vendor relationships to ensure successful study delivery.
  • Assist with the development of research documents, including protocols, participant information leaflets, and informed consent documentation.
  • Identify quality risks and issues and implement corrective and preventative actions where required.
  • Manage study budgets and ensure invoicing is completed accurately and within agreed timelines.
  • Undertake Clinical Research Coordinator responsibilities for allocated studies.
  • Facilitate collaboration between departments and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality clinical trial delivery.
  • Maintain regular communication with sponsors, investigators, and key stakeholders throughout the trial lifecycle.
  • Ensure all research activities are conducted in accordance with GCP guidelines, SOPs, and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of research systems, processes, and governance standards.
  • Mentor and support junior members of the research team where required.

What You’ll Have:

  • Undergraduate degree in Science, Nursing, Pharmacy, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience in clinical trial coordination or as a Clinical Research Associate with strong site management experience.
  • Background in nursing, oncology, or clinical research is essential.
  • Strong understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Guidelines and UK clinical research regulations.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • High level of initiative, flexibility, and attention to detail.
  • Strong IT literacy, including knowledge of clinical trial systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Flexibility to work across multiple locations when required.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
