We are looking for an experienced Patient Services Officer (Medical Administration) to join our team in our Wembley Oncology clinic. In this patient-facing role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to patients and staff while remaining professional, caring and friendly in an ever-changing environment. We currently have Casual and Permanent Part-Time opportunities available, offering flexible shifts to support our collaborative team as internal movement creates new opportunities.
More Specifically, You Will:
- Complete day-to-day clerical and administrative tasks to support clinic operations
- Schedule, update, and confirm patient appointments
- Process billing and receipting accurately at the time of appointment
- Enter data accurately into clinical and administrative systems
- Prepare, scan, file, and manage documentation in line with privacy requirements
- Maintain accurate patient records and administrative files
- Support efficient clinic workflows through organised administration
- Liaise with internal teams regarding schedules, documentation, and processes
- Manage multiple administrative tasks in a busy environment
We’re Looking For Someone Who Has:
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient care and customer service
- Strong organisation and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders
- Proven experience to work successfully both independently and in a team environment
- Knowledge of patient billing systems and related Medicare funding mechanisms would be highly valued
- Exceptional phone manner and ability to handle a high volume of patient inquiries
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Flexible approach to work and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment
