GenesisCare is expanding its UK network with the opening of a brand-new Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) centre in Royal Tunbridge Wells in Autumn 2026. This purpose-built centre will bring advanced cancer treatment closer to patients across West Kent and the South East, improving accessibility and enhancing the overall patient experience.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the founding administration team and help shape the patient journey from first contact in a brand-new centre. As a Patient Administration Officer with us, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring all patient referrals are processed efficiently and appointments are booked in line with GenesisCare policies. You will support the full patient referral pathway and deliver exceptional customer care to patients and visitors attending the centre. What You'll Do:- Act as the first point of contact for patients, providing a professional and compassionate service
- Provide courtesy calls to patients within 24 hours of receiving referrals
- Process and register referrals accurately within agreed timeframes
- Book appointments for SACT, outpatient clinics and associated services
- Liaise with consultants, medical secretaries and clinical teams to ensure smooth patient pathways
- Request and manage medical records, diagnostic images and previous treatment information
- Maintain accurate data entry within MOSAIQ and complete Quality Checklists (QCLs)
- Liaise with NHS Trusts and internal Finance teams to facilitate bookings
- Provide reception support and maintain a welcoming, safe environment
- Log feedback, compliments and concerns using appropriate reporting systems
- Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with data protection legislation
- Experience working within a busy reception or administrative environment
- Previous healthcare sector experience (desirable)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational and multitasking ability
- Experience delivering high levels of customer service
- Confidence managing sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience using MOSAIQ (desirable)
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
