The Role:

As a Patient Administration Officer with us, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring all patient referrals are processed and appointments are booked efficiently in accordance with GenesisCare policies and will undertake all administrative activities required along with providing excellent customer care to patients and visitors attending the Centre. Please note that this role is available on a part-time basis of 15 hours per week.

What You'll Do:

  • Work closely with consultants and secretaries to provide support in the patient referral pathway
  • Act as point of contact for all patients ensuring a professional and efficient service
  • Confirming receipt of referrals and registration for all patients referred for Radiotherapy and Outpatient clinics.

What You'll Have:

Experience and skills:
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous experience managing a busy reception area
  • Experience in a customer focused environment
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Experience within a diverse range of administrative roles
  • Evidence of an empathetic and holistic approach to patient care
  • Experience with resolving complaints satisfactorily
Qualifications and Knowledge:
  • Experience of using MOSAIQ IT package an advantage
  • Be proficient in all MS office packages including, but not limited to, Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Previously worked within the healthcare sector preferred
Other requirements for this role:
  • Work cooperatively within a team, exchange information and assist other team members to achieve team objectives and work outcomes.
