The Role:

As a Patient Administration Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring every patient’s experience is seamless from referral through to treatment. Acting as a key point of contact, you’ll combine exceptional organisational skills with genuine compassion to deliver an outstanding patient experience. What You’ll Do:

  • Be the first point of contact for patients, delivering a professional and welcoming service
  • Manage referrals and book appointments efficiently across multiple services including radiotherapy, diagnostics, and more
  • Liaise with consultants, clinical teams, and external partners to coordinate patient pathways
  • Provide patients with clear, timely information and support from referral through to treatment
  • Maintain accurate records and update systems to ensure high-quality data management
  • Support reception duties, creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
  • Go the extra mile to enhance the patient experience, including arranging additional support services where needed

What You’ll Have:

  • Previous experience in a customer-focused or administrative role
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships
  • Experience working in a busy, fast-paced environment, ideally within healthcare
  • A highly organised approach with excellent attention to detail
  • A compassionate, patient-first mindset with the ability to handle sensitive situations
  • Confidence using MS Office (experience with MOSAIQ is a plus)
