As one of four Senior SACT Nurses, you'll be part of a specialist team delivering systemic anti-cancer therapies, while helping to build and shape a brand-new service.
Main duties of the job:
- Deliver safe, high-quality SACT treatments
- Manage a patient caseload and run nurse-led clinics
- Provide expert advice and support to patients and families
- Support clinical governance, audits and service improvement
- Participate in on-call and triage services
- Mentor and support junior staff and students
- Contribute to research and evidence-based practice
- Co-ordinate SACT Unit shifts
- Participate in Quality Improvement projects
What You'll Bring:
- NMC registration
- Experience in oncology and chemotherapy delivery
- Competency in venepuncture and cannulation
- Strong clinical decision-making and patient care skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Holds a SACT passport and has a minimum of 2 years SACT experience
