As a Lead Therapy Radiographer, you will play a pivotal leadership role in delivering and developing our radiotherapy service. You’ll lead both clinical and non-clinical teams, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, operational excellence, and continuous service improvement. What You’ll Do
- Lead and develop the radiotherapy service to achieve all operational objectives and maintain exceptional patient care standards
- Manage, support, and mentor a multidisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, governance, quality assurance, and radiation protection standards
- Take an active clinical role across the patient pathway, leading by example
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and service development initiatives
- Build strong relationships with clinicians, patients, stakeholders, and external partners
- Oversee training, development, and competency of team members
- Manage incidents, complaints, and feedback effectively to enhance service delivery
- Support audit, safety, and quality programmes across the centre
What You’ll Have
- DCR (DR) or BSc (Hons) in Therapy Radiography
- HCPC registration (essential)
- Significant post-qualification experience in radiotherapy
- Strong leadership and people management experience
- Expertise across radiotherapy processes including pre-treatment, treatment, and QA
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- A patient-centred approach with strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
- Evidence of CPD (MSc desirable or working towards)
