The Role:

As a Lead Outpatients Nurse with us, you'll play a pivotal role in the provision of high-quality evidence-based nursing care in a clinic setting with a focus upon the implementation of smooth and efficient outpatient and diagnostic clinics. What You'll Do:

  • Be a clinical expert and lead by example, acting as a role model at all times and adhering to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
  • Lead the outpatient department providing day-to-day management of the department ensuring that all staff who work within the service have the competence, training and skill set to adequately carry out the roles required of them and highlight training gaps and needs.
  • Lead on the rostering of staff to ensure clinics are run and staffed sufficiently in order to deliver maximum quality and efficiency.

Experience and skills:

  • Experience of assisting with minor procedures desirable.
  • Previous experience of working within an outpatient setting.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Venepuncture & cannulation skills.

Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • Registered Nurse with NMC registration.
  • Relevant post registration programme qualification.
