As a Lead Physicist β MR Linac, based at our flagship Central London centre within Cromwell Hospital, you will work closely with other Lead Physicists and multidisciplinary teams to provide scientific and technical leadership for MR-guided radiotherapy services. Acting as a Medical Physics Expert (MPE), you will support the delivery of high-quality daily adaptive MR-guided treatments, ensuring the safe, effective and innovative use of MR Linac technology.

- What You'll Do
- Provide scientific and technical oversight for all MR Linac radiotherapy treatment planning and patient treatments.
- Support daily adaptive radiotherapy as part of the multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Lead routine machine quality assurance, calibration, dosimetry and treatment plan checking activities.
- Perform re-irradiation assessments and provide expert guidance on normal tissue dose tolerances.
- Act as the site Medical Physics Expert (MPE) and contribute to GenesisCare's wider radiotherapy MPE network.
- Support and mentor clinical teams in radiotherapy machine QA, dosimetry, treatment planning and clinical governance.
- Work closely with engineers to manage maintenance, servicing and equipment performance.
- Contribute to commissioning future MR Linac systems and service development projects across the network.
- Participate in clinical research, innovation programmes and clinical trials, presenting work through publications and conferences.
- Support the continuous development and improvement of GenesisCare's physics and dosimetry services.
- Travel to other GenesisCare centres when required to support clinical services and projects.
What You'll Have
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Clinical Scientist in the Radiotherapy specialism.
- Extensive experience as a Radiotherapy Physicist and qualification as a Medical Physics Expert (MPE).
- Strong expertise in MR-guided radiotherapy and online adaptive treatment techniques.
- Advanced knowledge of Linac QA, dose calibration, treatment planning and plan checking, including VMAT and IMRT.
- Experience with patient-specific QA, CT and MR scanner QA, IGRT and MR-IGRT.
- Knowledge of stereotactic radiotherapy, respiratory gating and advanced treatment delivery techniques.
- A strong understanding of the UK radiotherapy landscape.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience teaching, mentoring and supporting clinical colleagues.
- A passion for innovation, service development and continuous improvement.
- Research experience and a track record of scientific publication would be advantageous.
