The Role:

As the Immunotherapy Advanced Nurse Practitioner, you’ll support and enhance the safe delivery of immunotherapy treatments across GenesisCare’s medical oncology centres. This is a national role, providing both in-person and virtual clinical expertise. You’ll lead on developing and implementing clinical pathways, deliver specialist education, and provide advanced patient care advice in collaboration with consultants, pharmacists, and nursing teams. You’ll also drive the development of GenesisCare’s national immunotherapy service—ensuring evidence-based practice, consistency of care, and excellent patient outcomes.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver in-person and virtual clinics for patients experiencing immunotherapy-related toxicities, supporting consultants to ensure safe and timely management.
  • Lead the development and implementation of national immunotherapy protocols to support standardised, evidence-based practice.
  • Act as a key clinical link between consultants, nursing teams, and primary care to ensure seamless multidisciplinary management of complex cases.
  • Mentor and develop SACT nurses, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and pharmacists, building national capability and confidence in immunotherapy care.
  • Develop and deliver internal and external education programmes, enhancing knowledge and consistency in toxicity management.
  • Conduct audits and reviews to monitor quality and improve service delivery.
  • Contribute to Clinical Reference Groups (CRGs) and lead service improvement initiatives across the GenesisCare network.

What You’ll Have:

Experience and Skills:

  • Significant post-registration clinical experience in immunotherapy for cancer.
  • Proven experience in training, mentorship, and service development.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills.
  • Experience in clinical audit, incident investigation, and quality improvement.
  • Experience of working across multiple healthcare settings or in a teaching hospital environment.

Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • Registered healthcare professional (NMC or HCPC) at Band 7 or equivalent.
  • Evidence of Master’s level study (or commitment to work towards this).
  • Independent Non-Medical Prescriber (V300) – desirable.
  • Knowledge of national immunotoxicity guidelines and governance frameworks.
  • Leadership qualification or evidence of formal leadership training.
