Are you passionate about shaping the future of immunotherapy care? Join GenesisCare UK as our Immunotherapy Advanced Clinical Practitioner and play a leading role in advancing the safe and effective delivery of immunotherapies across our nationwide network of state-of-the-art centres.

The Role:

As the Immunotherapy Advanced Clinical Practitioner, you’ll support and enhance the safe delivery of immunotherapy treatments across GenesisCare’s medical oncology centres. This is a national role, providing both in-person and virtual clinical expertise. You will lead the development of the national immunotherapy service, including the implementation of up-to-date protocols for toxicity management, coordination of MDT input for complex cases, and oversight of patient care. The role includes delivering staff education and running both in-person and virtual clinics. You’ll also drive the development of GenesisCare’s national immunotherapy service—ensuring evidence-based practice, consistency of care, and excellent patient outcomes.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver in-person and virtual clinics for patients experiencing immunotherapy toxicity, supporting consultants with safe management (e.g., thyroxine initiation, low cortisol, minimising morbidity from steroid use).
  • Act as a point of contact between consultants, relevant general medical specialists (where indicated) and the wider GenesisCare team to ensure prompt and safe management of immunotherapy toxicity and effective multidisciplinary working.
  • Update primary care teams on toxicities experienced by their patients, work to minimise impact on primary care services (e.g., by ensuring GenesisCare organise initial toxicity management) and plan safe transition back to primary care for long-term conditions.
  • Stay current with relevant protocols, guidelines, and policies.

What You’ll Have:

Experience and skills:
  • Significant post-registration clinical experience in immunotherapy for cancer.
  • Proven experience delivering training.
  • Strong leadership and change management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and teaching skills.
  • Experience in clinical audit, incident investigation, and quality improvement.
  • Experience of setting up a new service.
  • Experience of working across multiple healthcare settings or within a teaching hospital environment.
Qualifications and Knowledge:
  • Registered healthcare professional (e.g., NMC, HCPC) at least Band 7 or equivalent.
  • Evidence of Masters level study or prepared to work towards.
  • Independent Non-Medical Prescriber (V300) – desirable (or agreement to work towards this qualification).
  • Knowledge of national immunotoxicity guidelines.
  • Awareness of governance frameworks, CQC standards, and training compliance requirements.
  • Leadership qualification or evidence of leadership training.
