The Role:

As a Clinical Research Coordinator with us, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of clinical research studies and trials through the coordination of direct and indirect patient care activities, study management, and associated data collection. Working closely with Principal Investigators, Co-investigators, and the wider GenesisCare Research Team, you will help ensure the successful delivery of high-quality research studies while maintaining an exceptional patient experience. This role will primarily be based at our Oxford centre; however, you may also be required to support research activity across other GenesisCare centres when required. Due to the nature of the role, flexibility to travel between sites is essential, along with a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support the efficient and timely start-up of clinical research projects in collaboration with the National Research Manager and Senior Clinical Research Coordinators.
  • Attend Pre-Study, Site Initiation, Monitoring, and Close-Out Visits for allocated clinical trials.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of assigned clinical trials, including protocols, investigator brochures, participant information and consent forms, timelines, budgets, and safety reporting requirements.
  • Establish and maintain study files, regulatory binders, source documentation, and trial-related materials.
  • Support patient recruitment activities and assist in ensuring recruitment targets and study timelines are achieved.
  • Coordinate day-to-day research activities alongside Investigators and the wider research team.
  • Liaise directly with patients to coordinate study visits, assessments, and protocol-specific procedures.
  • Provide support to patients regarding trial-related queries and ensure concerns are escalated appropriately to Investigators when required.
  • Arrange protocol-specific assessments and ensure Investigators are available to complete study-related requirements.
  • Prepare and arrange shipment of pathology samples in accordance with study protocols.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, sponsors, third-party providers, and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality clinical trial delivery.
  • Manage study documentation, complete data queries within required timelines, and maintain accurate research records.
  • Support study budget management and ensure invoicing is completed accurately and on time.
  • Complete study close-out activities, including archiving trial documentation and records.
  • Maintain regular communication with sponsors and key stakeholders throughout the study lifecycle.
  • Ensure all research activity is conducted in accordance with GenesisCare SOPs, GCP Guidelines, and all applicable laws and regulations.

What You’ll Have:

  • Undergraduate degree in Science, Nursing, Pharmacy, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience within nursing, scientific disciplines, or research-related roles.
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and applicable national and international clinical research regulations.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • High level of initiative, flexibility, and attention to detail.
  • Strong computer literacy, including clinical trials software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory, administrative, and clinical research frameworks and practices.
  • Flexible approach to working hours and locations.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel as required.
