GenesisCare has an exciting opportunity for a passionate Clinical Research Coordinator to join our NSW team based at our oncology clinic located in Lake Macquarie Private Hospital in Gateshead, with travel to Maitland as required.
As a Clinical Research Coordinator, you are responsible for working closely with the Principal Investigators, Co-investigators and the GenesisCare Research Team to conduct clinical research activities through the coordination and delivery of both direct and indirect care and associated data collection for clinical trials. On offer is a full-time permanent position.
More specifically, you will:
- Be responsible for timely start up and smooth running, documentation, monitoring of allocated trials onsite with support from Research Leads, the start-up team and your clinical lead.
- Work with the team lead and local research team to ensure all recruitment targets and timelines are met.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders including your team, research leads, PI, Centre staff and sponsors.
- Work with the patients and attend all trial assessments and treatments within own competency.
- Perform clinical tasks such as vital signs, ECGs, venepuncture, medication management as deemed competent, and maintain proficiency.
- Process samples, coordinate sample collection and dispatch as required.
- Prepare for and host monitoring and close out visits.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge in regulatory, administrative and clinical frameworks and current clinical issues and practice as they pertain to research.
- Ensure all research is conducted in accordance with GenesisCare SOPs, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Guidelines, study specific protocols and all applicable national and international laws and regulations.
- Complete all mandatory and trial specific training as required.
Weβre interested in hearing from people who:
- Current AHPRA registration with relevant nursing experience.
- Have a minimum of 2 yearsβ experience in clinical research co-ordinator- nursing, science or Phase 1 research, Oncology or nuclear medicine with an equivalent undergraduate degree.
- Show strong computer literacy with knowledge of clinical trials software and MS Office suite.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in an effective, pro-active and co-operative manner.
- Express high level of initiative and flexibility and the ability to meet deadlines while balancing multiple priorities.
- Have knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and applicable national and international laws and regulations.
- Are flexible in working times and locations.
