As a Clinical Nurse Specialist – Cell and Advanced Therapy with us, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting patients undergoing advanced cellular therapies, providing expert specialist nursing care, coordination and support throughout their treatment journey.
Working collaboratively across the Genesis Care network and with our multidisciplinary teams and external partners, you will act as a key point of contact for patients and their families, helping to ensure safe, coordinated and personalised care throughout complex treatment pathways.
You'll combine specialist clinical expertise with patient advocacy, education and pathway coordination, while contributing to the continued development of our Cell and Advanced Therapy services.

What You'll Do
- Act as Key Worker for a defined caseload of patients undergoing cell and advanced therapies, providing continuity and coordination throughout their treatment pathway.
- Provide specialist nursing assessment, advice, education and support to patients and their families before, during and following treatment.
- Conduct holistic needs assessments and develop personalised care plans that reflect patients' clinical, psychological and supportive care needs.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team and external clinical partners to coordinate safe and effective patient pathways.
- Support patients as they transition between Genesis Care services and specialist treatment providers, ensuring clear communication and continuity of care.
- Provide expert advice and education to patients and families, helping them understand their treatment, potential side effects and ongoing care requirements.
- Support patients with complex emotional and psychological needs throughout their treatment journey.
- Promote patient self-management and ensure appropriate escalation of clinical concerns.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute specialist nursing expertise to treatment planning and ongoing patient management.
- Contribute to the development of pathways, protocols and standards for Cell and Advanced Therapy services.
- Lead and support quality improvement, audit and clinical governance activity to continuously improve patient experience, safety and outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with nursing colleagues across the Genesis Care network to support consistent, evidence-based practice.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in accordance with professional, organisational and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of Genesis Care's Cell and Advanced Therapy service as new treatments and pathways are introduced.
What You'll Have
- Registered Adult Nurse with current NMC registration.
- A post-registration qualification in cancer, haematology or another relevant speciality.
- A minimum of three years' relevant post-registration experience, including at least two years within cancer care.
- Strong clinical experience supporting patients through complex cancer treatment pathways.
- Excellent communication skills, including experience supporting patients and families with complex emotional and psychological needs.
- Evidence of effective multidisciplinary and multiprofessional working.
- The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across clinical teams and organisational boundaries.
- Strong organisational and care coordination skills.
- Evidence of leadership and a commitment to developing high-quality, patient-centred services.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
- Experience of audit, research, quality improvement or service development is desirable.
- A teaching and assessing qualification is desirable.
- Experience within haematology, transplant or cellular therapies would be advantageous.
