GenesisCare is expanding its UK network with the opening of a brand-new Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) centre in Royal Tunbridge Wells in Autumn 2026. This purpose-built centre will bring advanced cancer treatments closer to patients across West Kent and the South East, reducing travel times and enhancing the overall treatment experience. This is a rare opportunity to join the founding team of a new centre and shape a specialist breast service from the very beginning.
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist – Breast with us, you'll play a pivotal role as the designated Key Worker for patients undergoing anti-cancer treatment. You will collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop, implement and evaluate a comprehensive specialist breast service that delivers the highest standards of personalised, evidence-based care. What You'll Do:
- Act as Key Worker for a defined clinical caseload, ensuring continuity and coordination of care
- Conduct holistic needs assessments and develop personalised care plans
- Run nurse-led clinics and provide specialist breast oncology support
- Deliver expert advice, education and psychological support to patients and families
- Promote self-management and risk stratification approaches
- Collaborate closely with consultants and the wider MDT to ensure seamless pathways
- Participate in MDT meetings and contribute to treatment planning
- Lead or support quality improvement initiatives and service development
- Contribute to audit, governance and clinical effectiveness monitoring
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in line with regulatory standards
What You'll Have:
- Registered Adult Nurse with valid NMC registration
- Post-registration qualification in cancer, palliative care or relevant speciality
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant post-registration experience, with at least 2 years in cancer care
- Experience in advanced communication and supporting patients with complex emotional needs
- Evidence of leadership experience and multiprofessional working
- Experience of audit, research or service development (desirable)
- Teaching and assessing qualification (desirable)
- A commitment to continuous professional development
