Care to Join the team?
GenesisCare is now looking for a passionate Registered Nurse to join our supportive team at our Kingswood Clinic, on a part time basis, working 3 days a week.
The role will be a part of a close-knit team of nurses who deliver best practice services in medical oncology and haematology nursing. Along with the multidisciplinary team, you will be part of giving our patients an exceptional treatment experience.
More specifically, you will:
- Attend patient assessment.
- Administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapies and blood transfusions
- Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological and spiritual support to patients, family and friends.
- Collaborate with Oncologists / Haematologists and the multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain own professional development and sets goals to address gaps or desired growth.
- Maintain patient and organisation confidence by adhering to policy and procedure.
- Contribute to the team effort by assisting with team goals.
- Bring a positive, enthusiastic and ‘can-do’ attitude to work.

We\’re interested in hearing from people who have:
- Current and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Previous experience in medical oncology (essential).
- Current ADAC certification to enable treatment of chemotherapy / immunotherapy patients.
- Cannulation and CVAD certification.
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to demonstrate empathy for patients and their carers.
- Demonstrated clinical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to plan and coordinate the clinical management of care.
- Commitment to and involvement in the application of quality improvement and evidence-based practice principles.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a team member.
- Experience in the field of Oncology desired.
