Senior Therapy Radiographer

As a Senior Therapy Radiographer, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for radiotherapy services within the centre. You will rotate across multiple treatment platforms and modalities as needs arise, building a wide‑range clinical skill set and developing into an experienced imaging and treatment practitioner for complex treatments, including SABR, SRS and adaptive MR‑Linac treatments. What You’ll Do

• Liaise closely with the multidisciplinary team.
• Follow all duties as an HCPC registrant (standards of conduct, performance, and ethics).
• Follow all HCPC standards of proficiency.
• Contribute to the effective performance of the radiotherapy team.
• Create the right environment for all clinical, medical physics, diagnostic and radiotherapy staff to work effectively together.
• Ensure that clinical protocols, policies, and procedures are followed and operate in full compliance.
• Maintain safe and effective working practices, including radiation protection, MR safety, and operation of equipment and systems in the centre.
• Ensure that all patients experience the highest levels of service in line with GenesisCare standards.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of patient treatments.
• Meet GenesisCare clinical audit, radiation protection, MR safety and quality assurance requirements.
• Record compliments alongside incidents or complaints and ensure thorough investigation and safeguards to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders.
• Support ongoing improvement and continuous development of care and services within the centre.
• Contribute to the growth and progress of the radiotherapy service as requested by the Lead Therapy Radiographer.
• Pro‑actively maintain CPD in accordance with GenesisCare and HCPC standards.
• Work out of hours as required to resolve breakdowns or crises with minimal impact.
• Participate in developing imaging and treatment protocols with Lead Therapy Radiographer, Physics, Dosimetry and other staff.
• Participate in research and clinical trials activity to contribute to the radiotherapy evidence base.
• Support all workflows by engaging with Dosimetrists, Clinical Oncologists, MR Radiologists and Researchers to keep the service at the forefront of clinical and technical delivery.

What You’ll Have Experience and Skills

• Experience within all aspects of radiotherapy: quality assurance, pre‑treatment simulation, on‑set imaging, dosimetry review and treatment delivery.
• Evidence of working collaboratively as part of a team.

Qualifications and Knowledge

• DCR (DR) or BSc (Hons) in Therapeutic Radiography.
• Significant postgraduate studies or clinical experience.
• HCPC registration.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
