The Role

As a Senior Dosimetrist – Specialist MR Planning with us, you'll play a pivotal role in managing treatment planning on our new View Ray MRIdian MR Linac at our facility.

What You'll Do

  • Partake, supervise and assist with all aspects of patient dosimetry relating to the MRI treatment planning pathway for patients at our facility.
  • Participate and contribute to the development of an MR based treatment planning pathway for MR Linacs and conventional Linacs.
  • Contribute to all aspects of general treatment planning and patient dosimetry on site and across the UK centre network.
  • What You'll Have

Experience and skills

  • In addition to a sound knowledge of conventional radiotherapy treatment planning the following skills and experience are desirable:
  • Experience in the field of MR based treatment planning and/or MR Linac treatment planning and delivery.
  • Experience with multimodality imaging including (MR, CT, PET-CT) for treatment planning for all major body sites.
  • Experience with adaptive radiotherapy workflows in either conventional or MR based treatment environments.
  • Experience in treatment planning for SABR and SRS treatment techniques.

Qualifications And Knowledge

  • Applicant should be eligible for registration with the HCPC, AHCS, or equivalent.
  • Applicants should have a good honours degree in radiography, dosimetry or Clinical technology or a related field.
  • Further qualifications such as an MSc related to Radiotherapy is desirable.
