This is a full time, permanent position based at our Milton Keynes centre in Linford wood.

As the Senior Therapy Radiographer, you are responsible for supporting all aspects of the pathway of every patient receiving external beam radiotherapy in the centre and to support the Lead Therapy Radiographer/Centre Leader with leadership of their team.

  • What You\'ll Do
  • Working in different areas of the Genesis Care treatment centre so that all operational objectives and standards are achieved, and the reputation of Genesis Care for exceptional service and outcomes is always maintained.
  • Working closely with the clinical team of Lead Radiographer, Lead Physicist, Senior Dosimetrist, other Radiographers, Nurses and administration staff in all aspects of the radiotherapy process.
  • Able to demonstrate post qualification experience.
  • Experience and understanding of UK radiotherapy.
  • Previous experience within all aspects of radiotherapy; quality assurance, pre-treatment, and treatment.
  • Evidence of effective staff liaison and co-operative working.
  • Evidence of empathetic and a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Previous experience working in private health sector - advantageous.
  • Prior experience with resolving complaints satisfactorily.
  • Experience of proactively evolving radiotherapy techniques.
  • A range of radiotherapy clinical skills.
  • Evidence of effective organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Able to make independent judgments/decisions, ability to solve problems.
  • Ability to work flexibly to achieve Genesis Care business objectives.
  • Able to act as a trainer and mentor for new/more junior staff.

Qualifications and Knowledge

  • DCR (T) or BSc (Hons) in Radiotherapy (or equivalent)
  • HCPC registration
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Some knowledge of report writing
