As Head of Quality, you will lead the organisation's clinical governance and quality strategy, ensuring GenesisCare UK consistently delivers safe, compliant and high‐quality care across all centres. Reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer, you will operate at Senior Leadership Team level, providing expert leadership in regulatory compliance, risk management, medical practitioner governance and patient safety. You will set the strategic direction, embed a culture of continuous improvement and ensure robust assurance to Executive and Board committees. This is a national role with regular travel across our UK centres.

What You'll Do

  • Lead Quality & Clinical Governance Strategy
    • Develop and deliver the GenesisCare UK Quality and Clinical Governance Strategy
    • Establish systems to measure, monitor and improve clinical quality, safety and patient outcomes
    • Set clear organisational quality standards and KPIs aligned to national benchmarks
    • Embed a culture of continuous improvement across all centres
  • Drive Regulatory Compliance & Assurance
    • Act as organisational lead for CQC registration, inspection readiness and ongoing compliance
    • Lead preparation for regulatory reviews and accreditations (including ISO 9001 and ISO 27001)
    • Oversee audit programmes and provide assurance reporting to the Executive and Board
  • Strengthen Risk, Safety & Patient Experience
    • Lead the organisational risk management framework, including incident management and learning
    • Oversee safeguarding arrangements (adults and children) and statutory compliance
    • Use insight from incidents, complaints and patient feedback to shape improvement priorities
  • Oversee Medical Practitioner Governance
    • Ensure effective practising privileges governance arrangements
    • Oversee compliance with the Medical Practitioner Assurance Framework (MPAF)
    • Support the Responsible Officer in fulfilling statutory duties
  • Inspire Leadership & Capability
    • Provide visible, credible leadership across the Quality & Governance function
    • Build and develop a high‐performing national team
    • Lead governance elements of organisational change and transformation programmes

What You'll Have

  • Senior‐level experience in clinical governance, quality and risk management within healthcare
  • Strong experience of CQC inspection regimes and UK regulatory compliance
  • Proven track record of embedding governance and quality management systems
  • Experience leading large‐scale continuous improvement and organisational change programmes
  • Ability to translate complex data into meaningful insight for senior stakeholders
  • Experience producing high‐quality Board and Executive reports
  • Excellent influencing skills and credibility with senior clinicians and executives
  • Degree educated (or equivalent experience)
  • Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Governance or equivalent senior‐level experience
  • In‐depth knowledge of CQC, ISO standards and IR(ME)R within private healthcare
  • Resilience, strong organisational capability and willingness to travel nationally
