Lead Pharmacist – Oncology/Haematology (Cambridge) GenesisCare UK is recruiting a Lead Pharmacist – Oncology/Haematology at our Cambridge centre. This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday, with core hours 8:00am–5:00pm. There are no on-call duties or weekend work required. What You\’ll Do Clinical checking and validation of prescriptions on Mosaiq system Procurement and dispensing of SACT medicines in line with GenesisCare procedures Maintain stock levels of medicines in the pharmacy Ensure accurate and timely charging Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, professional and best practice frameworks Involve in the development and implementation of treatment protocols Involvement with local medicine management meetings Monitor patient parameters related to drug therapy using appropriate electronic systems and advise on necessary amendments to drug management Liaise with RMO, nurses, finance team and others to ensure smooth running of service Participate in mandatory training in accordance with GenesisCare policy Provide advice on pharmaceutical aspects of managing drug errors and medication-related clinical incidents in cancer treatments Attend or be available for consultant outpatient clinics to offer pharmaceutical advice and support adherence to GenesisCare policies Help promote a culture of customer service within the pharmacy department and identify areas for improvement What You\’ll Have Experience in oncology and haematology Experience in a hospital environment Dispensing medicines and experience of medicine management in a hospital setting Screening and checking systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) prescriptions Electronic prescribing Experience of clinical audit and/or practice research Experience in production, promotion, implementation and monitoring of protocols Patient management and counselling Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with attention to detail Good organisational and planning skills; ability to manage stock and tasks effectively Ability to communicate clearly with a range of people across the hospital Qualifications and Knowledge Understanding of protocols and regimens development Registered with GPHC BSc Pharmacology or Master of Pharmacy (MPHARM) One year\’s preregistration training Further postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy (e.g., Clinical Diploma) Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Member of BOPA Independent Prescriber GenesisCare UK is the leading provider of private oncology services in the UK, focused on transforming cancer care through innovative treatments and personalised care.
