As Lead MRI Radiographer, you’ll have the opportunity to shape and lead a high-performing imaging service from day one embedding best practice, developing teams, and driving clinical excellence.
As Lead MRI Radiographer, you will provide clinical, operational and professional leadership across MRI, while also overseeing general X-ray and C-arm services. You’ll be instrumental in building a safe, efficient and forward-thinking diagnostic service.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and develop MRI services alongside X-ray and C-arm imaging
- Perform advanced MRI examinations and support complex clinical decision-making
- Oversee workflow, staffing, and operational performance
- Act as the MRI safety and governance lead
- Manage protocols, equipment optimisation and service development
- Provide leadership, mentorship and training to radiographers and students
- Collaborate with clinicians to support service growth and innovation
Off-site placements: A maximum of 1 month at established GenesisCare centres, gaining hands-on experience with MRI services. Placements are delivered in structured blocks and require weekday residence near the host centre.
Travel expectations: Regular national travel and overnight stays during the onboarding period are an essential requirement. This training forms a core contractual part of the role and requires flexibility to travel and stay away from home during the onboarding period.
What You’ll Bring
- HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer
- Extensive MRI experience, including advanced protocols
- Experience across general X-ray and/or C-arm imaging
- Proven leadership or senior-level experience
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety and governance
