We are opening our 8th state-of-the-art SACT unit at our Guildford Centre and are growing our team of experienced Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialists in the following areas: Breast Care, Colorectal / Upper GI and Lung. Deliver personalised care where it matters most. As part of our ongoing commitment to expanding access to high-quality cancer care across the UK, the new service will provide patients with access to a full range of essential cancer treatments including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and cellular therapy in a modern, purpose-built environment. The centre will also become a research centre, enabling suitable patients to access innovative drug regimes that may not be easily available elsewhere. This is a unique opportunity to work within a highly specialised oncology environment, delivering expert, compassionate care in a brand-new service.
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will act as a Key Worker for patients, coordinating care and providing expert clinical guidance throughout treatment. You’ll work closely with consultants and the wider MDT to ensure a seamless, personalised patient experience.
What You’ll Do
- Act as the primary point of contact for patients throughout treatment
- Deliver holistic assessments and personalised care plans
- Provide specialist advice and education to patients and families
- Run nurse-led clinics and support MDT decision-making
- Coordinate care pathways and support transitions between services
- Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement
What You’ll Have
- Registered Nurse with relevant oncology experience in the relevant specialist area
- Experience in cancer care in breast / colorectal / upper GI / lung
- Strong communication and patient advocacy skills
- Ability to work autonomously and within an MDT
- Evidence of continued professional development
