This is a permanent, full-time opportunity where the successful candidate will work as part of a dedicated field service engineering team, maintaining radiotherapy equipment located at multiple sites across Perth, WA.

The key responsibility in this role will be to support our qualified Engineers provide breakdown, maintenance, and repair services for medical equipment in our GenesisCare clinics.

More specifically, you will:

  • Support a qualified engineer providing breakdown, maintenance and repair services for Elekta Linear Accelerators and associated equipment.
  • Perform routine troubleshooting and repairs on the designated modality with guidance from a qualified engineer - diagnose the problem while working within the escalation procedure.
  • Support an engineer to perform routine calibrations and preventative maintenance on their designated modality and secondary modality.
  • Assist with coordination & planned Maintenance schedules for the state.
  • Learn to analyse, interpret, and follow signal flow on blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Support Engineers to provide ongoing preventative maintenance and quality assurance testing.
  • Learn to submit timely and accurate service request database and records, expense reports, TLD badges and other administrative work as assigned in CMMS MEX such as Inventory management for parts & company equipment.
  • Work safely in confined areas, including high current/high voltages modulators (20- 50 kV, 1500A).
  • Work safely on full range of products including medical devices producing high-energy ionizing radiation.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • A degree in Engineering – Mechanical, Biomedical or Electrical.
  • A passion and enthusiasm to learn.
  • Ability to develop strong external relationships with various agencies & key stakeholders.
  • Eligible for a state Radiation use licence.
  • Eligible for state/Australian restricted electrical license.
  • Valid driver's licence for the state you are employed in.
  • Demonstrated time management, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

Other requirements for this role:

  • Be required to travel to local and regional sites to perform necessary duties.
  • Provide after-hours and weekend support services.
  • Provide remote and on-site engineering support.
  • Undertake ongoing training which may include national and/or international travel.
