At GenesisCare, we know that every patientâs journey is unique. Weâre looking for a compassionate and professional Patient Services Officer (Medical Receptionist) to join our Lake Macquarie Radiation Oncology clinic. Working within our radiation oncology service, youâll play an important role in ensuring patients feel supported, informed, and cared for throughout their treatment journey. This is a meaningful, patientâfacing role, ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, thrives in a busy environment, and takes pride in creating a welcoming and supportive first impression. This is a permanent fullâtime position based at our Newcastle (Lake Macquarie Private Hospital) site in Gateshead, New South Wales.
More specifically, you will:
- Welcoming patients and supporting them through appointment bookings and enquiries
- Booking, confirming, and managing patient appointments and diaries to support a smooth and positive patient experience
- Receiving and processing patient referrals with care and attention
- Managing administrative processes and documentation with efficiency and attention to detail
- Supporting billing, fee estimates, and payments, including Medicare and private health funds, with a patientâfocused approach
- Maintaining confidential and upâtoâdate patient records
- Youâll play an important role in creating a warm, respectful, and supportive environment for patients and their families.
