GenesisCare has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administration Manager / Senior Patient Services Officer to join our Oncology clinic located within Lake Macquarie Private Hospital.

This hands-on leadership role is responsible for the day‐to‐day management of the Patient Services team—ensuring they remain motivated, supported and aligned in consistently delivering exceptional, patient‐centred care within our Oncology practice. This is a permanent, full-time position (38 hours per week, Monday–Friday).

More specifically, you will:

  • Provide leadership, supervision, support and recognition to the patient services team, fostering collaboration, teamwork and a positive culture through effective management strategies.
  • Support, initiate and lead change across the practice by providing insights, data and leadership that align with GenesisCare’s vision, ethos and commitment to patient‐focused improvement.
  • Champion high‐quality patient services by anticipating needs, maintaining strong service standards, and proactively responding to patient feedback.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of funding mechanisms related to Radiation Oncology, including Medicare, Medicare Safety Net and billing processes, and communicate these clearly to patients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, supporting initiatives designed to improve clerical staff engagement and satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to developing others by implementing effective performance management processes, providing ongoing coaching, and supporting staff growth and development.

  • Are proficient in clinical administration systems and Microsoft Office for reporting and data analysis.
