As a 2026 Summer Placement student at Genesis, you will work within the large Environment and ESG Team of around 36 people based in our Aberdeen Office, centrally located at 26 Albyn Place. You will get the opportunity to collaborate with various teams within the environmental division and be a part of a growing team of early career professionals in a lively and supportive atmosphere.
While gaining invaluable experience in environmental consultancy, you will have the potential to get involved in work across a variety of sectors such as traditional oil and gas developments, decommissioning, energy transition projects (offshore wind, sustainable fuels), and carbon capture & storage projects.
The type of work you will support may include (but not be limited to) the following:
- Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Assessments
- Environmental Statements (ES)
- UK Emission Trading Scheme (ETS) support
- Pollution Prevention and Control (PPC) compliance
- Methane reduction studies
- Energy and emissions management
- Best Available Techniques (BAT) assessments
Opportunity to work with a very experienced environmental team, mentoring and a buddy support system, client exposure, and training in environmental compliance relating to the energy industry.
PLEASE NOTE: This role is open to students with a relevant engineering and/or environmental science degree such as process/chemical engineering, environmental engineering, chemistry, mechanical engineering, etc. who will have completed their penultimate year of study.
