Job Purpose
This position is within the Integrity team that forms part of the Subsea & Pipelines Business Unit at Genesis Energies. The aim of this role is to support the growth and delivery of the Integrity and Late Life Service Line by managing the delivery of projects and supporting business development as needed.
Job scope
- Integrity Management Planning: Develop and oversee integrity management strategies and plans for facilities, equipment, and assets to ensure safety and compliance.
- Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification: Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and integrity evaluations to identify potential failure modes and vulnerabilities.
- Inspection and Monitoring Oversight: Design, implement, and supervise inspection, monitoring, and testing programs to assess the condition of assets.
- Data Analysis and Integrity Evaluation: Analyse inspection and monitoring data to evaluate asset integrity and determine remaining life or need for repairs.
- Maintenance and Repair Recommendations: Develop and recommend maintenance, repair, or replacement strategies based on integrity assessments.
- Regulatory Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all integrity activities comply with relevant standards, codes, and regulations; maintain proper documentation and reports.
- Technical Leadership and Collaboration: Provide technical guidance to teams, liaise with operations, maintenance, and safety departments to integrate integrity practices.
- Root Cause Analysis and Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into integrity-related failures or incidents to identify causes and prevent recurrence.
- Budgeting and Resource Planning: Assist in planning and managing budgets for integrity-related projects and activities.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve integrity management processes, tools, and technologies.
- Training and Development: Mentor and train team members on integrity best practices, standards, and new technologies.
- Vendor and Contractor Management: Oversee external service providers and contractors involved in integrity inspections, testing, and maintenance.
Typical background and experience required
Essential:
- Proven track record in developing and implementing integrity management programs for pipelines, facilities, or similar assets.
- Strong understanding of corrosion mechanisms, mitigation strategies, and corrosion monitoring techniques.
- Experienced at business generation and building strong client relationships.
- Proven strong technical track record in consultancy related life‑of‑field studies and integrity management and pragmatic in approach.
- Proven ability to lead integrity projects, manage budgets, schedules, and cross‑disciplinary teams.
- Excellent technical reporting skills.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and applying RBI methodologies to prioritise inspection and maintenance activities.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as API, ASME, ISO, and relevant regulations.
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or Materials; Masters degree preferred.
Preferrable:
- Subsea and topsides design experience.
- Corrosion engineering experience or qualification.
- Previous experience in Lead IM role.
