Microwave Riggers

Key Responsibilities:

· The role of the Microwave Rigger is to carryout complete installation of Microwave Radio equipment.

· Follow the documentation associated with each link, ensuring that all work is completed on time and quality.

· Collection of work pack from Genesis office.

· Ensure that all relevant information is contained within the work pack, to enable job to be completed successfully.

· Check equipment prior to delivery to ensure correct radio configuration, antenna size etc.

· Installation of Microwave Antennas and Outdoor Units.

· Installation and laying RF cables and Earthing.

· Installation of Indoor Equipment.

· Panning of System & testing.

· Labelling.

· Taking relevant photographs for documentation purposes.

· Complete of all sites related paperwork.

· Return the completed pack to the office.

· Return all unused or faulty equipment to the Genesis stores with proper labelling.

· Return completed and compliant test results to the Genesis Office.

· Ensure that all health and safety requirements are met.

· Follow all site specific and relevant risk assessment and method statements.

Required Qualification and Experience:

· Experience with Microwave equipment installations of various OEMs.

· Working at heights (rooftops, masts, water towers etc).

· Working knowledge of Microwave Transmission networks.

· Rooftop training

· Safe climbing

· First Aid

· RF awareness

· Tower Rescue

· HNC or equivalent.

Desirable Qualification and Experience:

· At least 2 years’ experience on Microwave Rigging.
