We are looking for an experienced Building Surveying Manager to lead a professional surveying team and oversee the delivery of housing maintenance, planned maintenance and major capital improvement programmes.
- Manage and develop a team of surveying professionals and technical officers.
- Lead high-value and complex building projects from feasibility through to completion.
- Oversee maintenance, repairs, capital improvement and refurbishment programmes.
- Manage budgets, procurement, contracts, quality, health & safety and compliance.
- Prepare specifications, drawings, estimates and contract documentation.
- Liaise with senior management, contractors, customers and other stakeholders.
- Lead service improvements, resolve complex complaints and contractor disputes.
- Provide professional advice and contribute to housing policies and strategies.
- Building-related degree/professional qualification with significant post-qualification experience.
- Strong building surveying, project management and contract management experience.
- Experience managing staff and working with contractors and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of building, health & safety and relevant regulatory requirements.
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent; professional membership desirable.
- Strong communication, negotiation, organisational and problem-solving skills.
