Development Engineer for the development of Generator sets, driveline integration & Battery Energy Storage Systems for regions worldwide. We need an Engineer to join the UK Test and Development team. An experienced engineer with technical gravitas, you’ll have excellent communication skills and be able to manage cross functional activities. Pressure, tight deadlines and exacting standards are all a part of the job, so you’re going to need to be the kind of person who relishes them.

Development Engineer Role:

  • Test & development of electrical control and power systems, telemetry integration, service tool integration.
  • Day to Day organisation of your priorities to ensure testing and reporting is done in a timely manner, ensuring quality of tests and reports give us a right first time result.
  • Working with others to resolve problems in a structured approach.

Development Engineer Requirements:

  • Degree in an associated electrical or mechanical engineering discipline essential.
  • Outstanding grasp of DVPSORs, test process, development and sign-off using relevant tools.
  • Experience of testing live electro/mechanical systems is essential.
  • Experience of working with AC/DC voltages up to 800V is advantageous.
  • Has an awareness or understanding of work risk assessments.
  • Literate in rigging – sensing, lifting, power to load test configurations.
  • Handling of all COSHH aspects.
  • Literate in writing or creating technical reports.
  • Test tool & instrumentation literate.
  • Have an engineering mindset – Identify a problem > create a solution.
  • The flexibility to travel to other sites when necessary is also a must.

This role is available as permanent or contract.
