The company has seen exceptional growth and success, and we are looking for an individual with strong economic modelling skills and extensive project management experience to join us. The professional in this role will work on clinical and economic modelling projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams, to meet the external payer and HTA needs of our clients. They are expected to play an active role in our vibrant modeling team, contributing innovative ideas, methodological and tech enabled advancements, and thought leadership that shape our modeling center of excellence at Genesis Research Group.
Accountabilities within this role:
- Contribute to developing de novo health economic models, such as cost effectiveness models and budget impact models for HTA/ reimbursement submissions.
- Familiarity with and application of common modeling approaches, such as Markov, partitioned survival, microsimulation.
- Work on end-to-end model development by contributing to model design, building models or sections of models, and drafting reports and publications.
- Adapt existing economic models for US and other HTA Markets.
- Develop health economic tools for stakeholder discussions.
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, drug development process and HTA or reimbursement processes.
- Support publication of developed models in peer reviewed journals and/ or conference presentations.
- Provide input to project proposals.
- Create long-term partnerships with clients and work with existing clients to identify new and follow-on projects.
- Implement company economic modelling processes.
- Operate in a work from home environment with occasional expectation to travel and meet with clients out of standard hours to accommodate global project needs and project schedules.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of successful health economic modelling experience in the pharmaceutical industry or consulting, with familiarity and understanding of the use of modelling in payer and HTA decision making.
- A degree in economics, mathematics, statistics, science, or other related discipline is essential for the role, with a postgraduate qualification in the health-related field (such as health economics, biostatistics, epidemiology) an advantage.
- Experience in hands-on model development from scratch including background research, model conceptualization, model implementation, quality assurance, and presentation of model findings in different disease areas.
- Experience of development of budget impact models and early and late-stage cost effectiveness models.
- Experience of model adaptations for different markets to support HTA submissions.
- Good knowledge of various economic evaluation techniques in different settings.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel modelling skills, including VBA.
- Experience working in R/ Python and application of AI in modelling is preferred.
- Excellent technical writing and presentation skills.
- Excellent project management skills, including ability to multi-task and deliver quality work to planned timelines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to support communication of complex scientific ideas in a clear and succinct manner.
- Methodical and detail orientated approach, while keeping the big picture and end goals in mind.
- The ability to work highly collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
