Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and adapt artwork files to meet a wide range of print production requirements, ensuring consistency across materials and platforms.

  • Interpret and apply client specifications accurately while maintaining brand guidelines.
  • Use studio tools and workflows to manage assets, file structures, and proofing stages efficiently.
  • Conduct pre-flight checks to avoid common technical pitfalls like rogue tones, below-minimum dot areas, or colour misalignment.
  • Maintain and update internal asset libraries and artwork templates in accordance with studio best practices.
  • Communicate clearly with project and technical teams to flag potential issues and ensure timelines are met.
  • Output proofs (physical or virtual) and support quality assurance through rigorous self-checks.
  • Follow established internal protocols including file naming, folder structures, and SOP documentation.
  • Log time and activities accurately in internal systems for reporting and resource planning.
  • Take ownership of equipment maintenance including calibration of proofing devices and replenishment of consumables.

Skills & Experience

  • In-depth understanding of the print production lifecycle and technical artwork preparation
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop and Illustrator), as well as industry-standard proofing and colour management tools
  • Solid grasp of colour theory, colour separation, and ICC profiling
  • Ability to work independently and make quick decisions under time pressure
  • Organised, methodical, and detail-oriented approach to file handling and delivery
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution-driven mindset
  • Comfortable adapting to changing priorities and working across a mix of clients or campaigns

Performance Expectations

  • High-quality, press-ready output that meets technical and brand expectations
  • Consistent delivery of tasks on schedule, with full adherence to client SLAs and internal procedures
  • Positive contribution to studio efficiency and continuous improvement efforts
  • Collaborative team engagement and alignment with company values and environmental standards
