Are you an experienced IT Manager or Infrastructure Lead looking to take full ownership of IT across a busy and rewarding environment? We’re working with a respected school-based organisation in the DA17 area seeking a proactive, technically hands-on IT Manager / Network Manager to lead their on-site IT provision.
Role Overview
This is a pivotal role where you’ll oversee all IT operations, including:
- Managing day-to-day network infrastructure and server environments
- Delivering technical support across the school – including hardware, software and connectivity
- Maintaining and developing the school’s IT strategy
- Ensuring smooth running of cloud platforms, WiFi networks, AV, and educational software systems
- Working closely with SLT and 3rd party providers to ensure continuity, security, and compliance
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar IT leadership or management role
- Strong working knowledge of: Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365 / Microsoft 365, Switches, Firewalls, basic network security, Backup systems and disaster recovery planning
- Experience working in the education sector is highly desirable (school, college, or university)
- Confident communicator who’s happy working independently and managing small budgets or suppliers
