Director – Genesis Creative | Recruiting International Talent Across the Creative Sector

A growing international creative group is seeking a commercially minded Chartered Accountant to lead the financial operations across multiple entities in the UK, US and EU. This is a hands‑on, senior role working closely with the board to support business growth, streamline financial processes and ensure full compliance across all markets.

As the organisation expands, we’re looking for an experienced finance professional who can bring structure, confidence and strategic insight to a busy, entrepreneurial environment.

The Role

You will oversee the financial operations of a group that includes multiple UK entities, an EU office and a US business. Working alongside an established finance team of two, you will:

• Lead the maintenance of accounts across multiple entities (UK, US and EU)
• Oversee the system migration from Sage to Xero, including integration into a new management platform (Scoro)
• Ensure all payroll data is accurate and compliant
• Support management in building and reviewing budgets
• Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns
• Manage cashflow with responsibility for reserves and liquidity
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Audit financial information and identify inconsistencies
• Provide tax planning guidance within current legislation
• Produce financial forecasting and risk analysis
• Prepare management accounts and year‑end packs for the external accountant (who remains responsible for statutory filings)
• Analyse profitability and performance, including year‑on‑year event reporting
• Advise the Managing Director on business performance and opportunities
• Oversee investment considerations and foreign exchange requirements

About You

We are looking for an experienced chartered accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) who has managed finances across multiple markets and enjoys working closely with business owners. You will be strategic, but still comfortable rolling up your sleeves and working in the detail.

This role would suit someone who thrives in a creative, fast‑moving environment and is motivated by building strong processes as a company scales.
