We are currently seeking a Project Financial Controller, reporting directly to the UK Finance Director, to join our finance team based in London or Milton Keynes, England, UK.

About the mission we offer you

The Project Financial Controller will lead all UK finance activities for the landmark NZT Project—set to become the world’s first commercial-scale gas-fired power station with carbon capture and storage—working in close partnership with T.EN UK Finance, T.EN France Finance, and key project stakeholders, including the Project Cost Controller, Project Control Manager, Planning Manager, and Company Finance Management, to deliver seamless financial integration and robust project governance.

Main Accountabilities

  • Act as primary liaison between Finance Management, Project Management, Group Treasury and other stakeholders for all financial matters.
  • Ensure seamless integration of project financial data into corporate reporting systems.
  • Support project management with financial insights, cost control measures, and profitability analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with the Local Finance team on reporting cycles financial controls.
  • Participate in Project Management Reviews, providing financial insights and risk assessments.
  • Develop Project P&L forecast, ensuring accuracy and alignment with corporate standards.
  • Quarterly and annual actual closings, ensuring timely and precise reporting.
  • Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts, highlighting variances and risks.
  • Provide detailed variance analysis between budget, forecast, and actuals, supporting management decision-making.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support audits and internal reviews by providing accurate and timely documentation.

Supervision of AP/AR Processes

  • Oversee and coordinate the full Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) flows for projects.
  • Monitor invoice processing, payment schedules, and collection activities to maintain healthy cash positions.
  • Implement controls and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency in AP/AR operations.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in Finance or Financial Controlling and with ERP system.
  • Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) especially IFRS15, IAS 21, IAS 32, IFRS 9.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting concepts.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Interact with all Departments of the Company and the Project Team members.
  • Able to operate independently.
