Scope of Services
We require the services of an Offshore Structural Engineer (Outside of IR35) to provide independent contract support for the structural design and assessment of greenfield development options and brownfield modifications to sustain production levels for a shallow water offshore field in The ME. The scope includes:
- Offshore Structural & Brownfield Modification Assessment: Develop strategies and deliver detailed analyses to evaluate and support modifications to existing offshore structures, ensuring structural integrity, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
- SACS Analysis: Perform advanced structural analysis using SACS software to evaluate in-place conditions, load scenarios, seismic, and accidental loads relevant to modifications and new structural designs.
- Front-End & Conceptual Engineering: Lead early-stage design and feasibility studies for offshore modifications, including space assessments, preliminary design concepts, and structural layout planning for facility upgrades.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, including process, mechanical, piping & layouts, and other engineering disciplines, to deliver integrated solutions for offshore modifications and development projects.
- Technical Compliance: Provide expertise to ensure offshore structural systems meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
Requirements
The ideal service provider will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Formal qualification and/or certification in Structural or Civil Engineering (or a related field).
- Extensive, broad experience in offshore structural engineering, including design, analysis, condition assessment, and life extension strategy development.
- Strong expertise in structural condition assessments and life extension strategy development for offshore facilities.
- Proven experience in performing advanced structural analysis using SACS software (essential).
- Familiarity with international offshore structural standards (e.g., API, ISO) and offshore safety regulations.
- Previous experience working on offshore life extension projects in regions such as the North Sea, Middle East, or Asia-Pacific.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of engineers, ensuring effective coordination and delivery of project objectives.
- Excellent work management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage interfaces and relationships between diverse project stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills, with full proficiency in English (written and spoken).
