Technip Energies and their partners were awarded an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for the world’s first commercial scale gas-fired power station with carbon capture. The construction site is located in the Tees Valley in the North-East of England. We are currently seeking a QC Civils Inspector to join the team in the North-East of England. This will initially be on a 6-month contract basis (potential for extension) and will be required to work a late shift as per project requirements.

Job Summary

Technip Energies is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Civils Quality Control Inspector to join our team on the Net Zero Teesside Power project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all civil works meet project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. This role is vital in supporting the delivery of a sustainable, efficient, and compliant power facility aligned with our commitment to the energy transition and net‑zero objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of civil construction activities, including excavation, foundations, concrete works, and structural elements.
  • Verify that civil works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Monitor and document construction activities, ensuring compliance with project procedures and safety protocols.
  • Identify and report non‑conformances, coordinating with construction teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Review and verify material deliveries, ensuring they meet specified quality requirements.
  • Maintain detailed inspection records, reports, and documentation for quality assurance and audit purposes.
  • Collaborate with project engineers, quality managers, and subcontractors to facilitate quality control processes.
  • Support site safety initiatives and promote a culture of quality and safety awareness.
  • Participate in quality meetings, inspections, and audits as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Civil Quality Control Inspector within large-scale industrial or energy projects.
  • Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and quality standards.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., UK standards, ISO, etc.).
  • Experience with inspection tools and documentation systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Relevant certifications such as CSCS, NICET, or equivalent are preferred.
